Title: MSZ-010S Enhanced Double Zeta Gundam (Codename: Omega Gundam Protoype)
Appearance: Its main body structure is unchanged from the Double Zeta, although there are key differences. It's height has been minimized to 20 meters, and its weight at maximum capacity has been reduced to 67 tons. As a result, it has a smaller profile. Additionally, its color scheme is, instead of blue and white, dark gray and navy, to blend into the background of space. This aside, looking at it would reveal its nature as a ZZ Gundam.
Weapons:
2 x Beam Saber, power rating unknown, stored in recharge racks in backpack, hand-carried in use in mobile suit mode only.
2 x 60 mm double vulcan gun, fire-linked, 400 rounds of ammunition per gun, mounted in head, operable in mobile suit mode only
1 x binary shield, mounted on forearm in Mobile Suit mode, double as wing/control surfaces in G-Fortress mode and on Core Base.
(By binary shield, I mean it can split in half for the G-Fortress mode. Kinda like Psyco Gundam's shield, but MUCH smaller)
Beam Rifle, power rated at 10.6 MW, can be mounted on main body in G-Fortress mode or on Core Top, hand-carried in use in Mobile Suit mode.
(Take note: Unlike an unaltered Enhanced ZZ, the Omega Gundam currently lacks missile launchers)
Armor materials: Gundarium alloy/sillica armor composite.
Power Plant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 8070 kW
Advantages: As compared to an unaltered Enhanced ZZ, it is far faster, smaller, lighter, and, due to the upgraded reactor, has greater power reserves. Because mobility is not an issue, the movable frame can be locked down while in G-Fortress mode, solving the stability issue with the movable frame. It also carries an enhanced bio-computer, designed to increase synchronicity with the suit.
Disadvantages: As a result of this, however, its mass is far lower, meaning it can be more easily knocked around. The weight-reduced armor means that, unless in G-Fortress mode, the issue with an unstable movable frame is slightly more apparent. Further, the time to transform from G-Fortress to Mobile Suit is increased, as the frame must be unlocked. The new Bio-computer, unfortunately, makes the suit's pilot vulnerable to psionic attack.
History: This suit is the beginning of Maxwell Crawford's magnum opus. Combining data gleaned from the Silhouette Project with existing technology, he sought to create a lightweight, swift alternative to one of the bulkier Gundams in Anaheim's catalouge: Double Zeta Gundam. Much of its construction came from cannibalizing decommissioned ZZ types, as well as other various MS, refurbishing the components, and assembling the parts into a working Mobile Suit. This was not a requirement, but a choice. He'd heard how well civilian homebrew worked on out-of-use MS, and decided, for the first prototype, to give it a spin himself. This turned out to be better for the final suit; after finding parts that did the same thing as stock ZZ parts, and did it with less weight or size, compressing the new ZZ was a simple enough process. The armor was a revolutionary hybrid material, made of Gundarium, and lunar sillica. By treating the sillica with a highly secretive electrochemical process, and incorproating it into the raw ore, the resulting alloy was lightened, with no appreciable strength loss. Add onto that he cannibalized reactor of a FAZZ, and an advanced bio-computer system designed o interact with even Oldtypes on a psionic level, and you have one potentially deadly Mobile Suit. Which is precisely why, when Maxwell saw what Anaheim was doing to the Earth Sphere, he deleted all of his research data, only keeping a copy on his personal handheld, and, during a test flight, slipped off quietly into the inky depths of space, hoping to find someone who would not repeat Anaheim's mistakes, if given that level of power.

...?
They're basic to the base unit it was designed from: Enhanced ZZ Gundam. I actually took out the missiles to avoid being overpowered.
A stock ZZ has 2 hyper beam swords (That function as cannons in G-Fortress), a double beam rifle, the shields, the head vulcans, and, of course, the High Mega Cannon.
...Am I misunderstanding "basic"? |

...Okaaay...
Well, that severely limits the usefulness of the Double Zeta from the start. Essentially makes it an RX-78.
(What do y'all do with people who start with Zakus? Grenades aren't "basic", by that definition.)
Okay, I can change that. Just, before I do...
Can I upgrade the MS later? Can I come back and add in the Beam Cannon functionality for the G-Fortress mode, or add in the High Mega Cannon?
Or would I be better off starting with another MS, tweaking my character's history a bit, and self-funding the development of the Omega Gundam?
I never imagined I'd have this many difficulties... _________________ 10,000 CC |

OH!
Well, the upgrade issue changes things! Yeah, I can do that.
Okay, I obviously go to the junkyard to buy the parts...
Do I BUMP when I add them?
Oh, and, uhh, downgraded.
I had to use a different type of shield in order to make the transformation work, though. Is that okay? |
